Bernard Gehret Presented at the 2014 IREM Breakfast Forecast
I was fortunate to participate on an esteemed panel of five for the 26th Annual IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management) 2014 Forecast Breakfast, which focused on providing information in a “fireside chat” format with commercial real estate professionals. The Forecast panel discussed a broad survey of “what’s going on” in the commercial real estate market in Portland, Oregon.
Here is the link to the transcript of the Forecast breakfast, which contains GREAT data on what is occurring in commercial real estate in Portland this year. I focused on the Multi-family sector, and provided transaction data in regard to number of transactions and sales volume compared to 2012 (it is very identical!). I also discussed who is buying in Portland, and how the smaller transactions were local buyers and the larger transactions were primarily out of state buyers.
