Recently we brokered the sale of the Alpine Village Apartments in Sandy, Oregon. The new owner has an “Eco-Village” vision for the property, and has started the process by installing metal roofing. In addition to the metal roofs, the owner installed a few tankless water heaters as well.
There are a ton of beautiful trees on the property, so the metal roofing makes it easier to clean debris off the roof. One of the existing roofs (see right building) is a new composite roofing system, which looks nice but is less versatile than the metal roofing for that specific property.
The surprising element to the metal roofing was the price: they were only $1,000 more than a traditional composite roof system, and are designed to last longer. For more details on metal roofing call Bernard at 503-546-9390.
While it is too early to detect if new roofing helps increase rent or attracts quality renters, the property looks great and certainly is a perfect match for the “Street Appeal Series” on this website.
