The rents started going up in 2011, and appear to be softening according to numerous landlords.  It will be interesting to see what happens in 2017:

1. New units will be ready for occupancy.
2. Oregon political leaders are calling for forms of rent control (which would be a total disaster for tenants if this occurs in my opinion).
